Is Pelma a medical device?
No. Pelma is a wellness and education app. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything, and it does not replace a doctor, a midwife or a pelvic floor physiotherapist. The questionnaire is based on a published clinical questionnaire, but the number it gives you is a way to follow your own change over time — not a diagnosis. See the Legal Notice.
Should I check with someone before starting?
Yes, if you are pregnant, less than six weeks postpartum, recovering from pelvic surgery, or if you have pain, bleeding, fever or a symptom that is new to you. Stop and ask for advice if an exercise hurts. Leaks can have causes that training will not fix, and it is worth ruling those out.
Am I doing the exercise right?
The most common mistake is pushing down instead of lifting up — it feels like effort, so it feels correct, and it makes leaks worse. The app has a screen dedicated to that, and the guided session counts every hold for you. If you genuinely cannot feel the muscle after a couple of weeks, a pelvic floor physiotherapist will find it with you in one appointment.
How long before I see something?
Pelvic floor training is slow and it is cumulative. The programme runs over 12 weeks for that reason. What the app shows you is your own trend, from your own logs — not a promise. Individual results vary, and one leak never undoes weeks of training.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In your Apple account, not in Pelma: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Pelma → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I paid but the app says I am not subscribed
Tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen or in Settings, with the same Apple ID you bought with. If it still does not unlock, email us — do not buy twice.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Delete account, inside the app. It removes your profile, your assessment, everything you logged and your session history, on our servers and on your phone. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The programme and the diary run entirely on your phone. Your history syncs to your account when you are back online, so it survives a phone change.
Will anyone see what I log?
No. Pelma has no social features, no sharing and no ads by design. Notifications are scheduled on your phone and never mention leaks. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Is there an Android version?
Not today. Pelma is iOS only. If you want to be told when that changes, email us and we will keep your address for that and nothing else.
